About Me

Hi there! I am Tanim - freelance digital creative generalist, experienced project manager and game design student based in the Netherlands.

I am an avid learner and explorer. I had been on a long journey to find my passion profession since I graduated from high school in 2012, USA. After exploring several professional and academic university degrees, working in various industrties (non-profit, business consulting, consumer goods, startups etc.) at a wide range of capacities and specializations, I finally found my passion in creative tech industries, particularly the gaming industry.

I entered the game industry through a solo 3D game project called the Dark SpacXE in 2019. The game was developed with unity and c#, as I was began to learn game development by studying on an individual capacity through researching, exploring, experimenting which was a lot of fun. I enjoyed envisioning and diving into all the diversity in tasks the process of functional worldbuilding requires. That's when I realized this is what I have been looking for me. Afterwards I got to work in 8 other game projects developed using pygame, gamemaker studio, unity and even a multimedia card game with mobile app, in teams of 2 - 6 members. I mostly played multiple roles in each project, from game arts, UI, programming to game design, production, creative direction. My first successful game production and launch was Little Fluff, a mini 2D platformer game. Currently working on a 3D couch co-op party game called PowerFix Inc. where I am playing the roles of UI and logo designer, 3D asset artist, UI programmer and the Product Owner. It is a school project. On the side of it, I am working on a commercial project aimed to be launched on Google Play Store and Indie Market - a 2D casual game, as part of a game studio startup.

Learning individually from my insatiable thirst for knowledge, self-development and, working in a number of different game projects, I have developed a passion, honed diverse set of skills and gained experience in-  Mini 2D/3D Game design, UI, arts, development, production; Logo Design; UI Design (Web & Mobile Application), Creative Direction, Project Management and Business Development.

While I got to explore through a wide range of programming languages (c, c++, c#, python, java, javascript, gml, gdscript etc.), libraries, softwares, my programming proficiency lies mostly in python and c#. For art and UI design softwares, techniques, I tried different ones but my tools of choice that I mostly work with are Adobe illustrator, Figma and Blender. I practice Agile, scrum methodologies, google drive, trello, discord for professional project mangement. In addition I enjoy designing and continuously improving self-developed working strategies, methodolgies and follow them to boost quality personal and team project production outcome with optimized performance.

I strive to improve my existing skills, continue to learn and explore new technologies, methodologies in order achieve higher quality, efficiency and effectiveness in my work. Besides university, freelancing, I am working towards co-founding a game studio. I am interested in gaining more hands on experience from working at mid-sized game studio with a solid record of working with uniquely captivating game projects, preferably as a game producer or creative director.
